DUE DILIGENCE ASSIGNMENTS. From the beginning of its activities, Étude Kabinda has been highly involved in numerous due diligence assignments for multinationals in collaboration with their banks and international legal and financial advisors. The law Firm checks the situation of the assets established in the Democratic Republic of Congo and draws up a report making it possible to certify the existence of such assets in order to make correct decisions regarding asset management. The due diligence exercise that we organise allows us to determine the situation of a mining or industrial asset, as well as other elements that make it possible to ensure a proper assessment of a case: staff situation, regularity of deeds performed by management, assessment of on going disputes, open risks, among others. Based on our experience, we have developed tools to make an in-depth diagnosis of the state of a business, an industry or a mining operation, thus enabling the parties involved (multinational companies and banks) to take ad hoc decisions on the reorganisation or restructuring of the business.
